Abbas Mustan's The Italian Job has run into trouble yet again. The film is said to have a maledominated cast and has Abhishek Bachchan playing one of the lead roles, apart from Neil Nitin Mukesh, Omi Vaidya and others.
After Katrina Kaif walked out of the film ostensibly because she was not too happy with the script, Sonam followed her footsteps. However, Sonam's reason for quitting the film is different; Pankaj Kapur told her to concentrate on Mausam and that is why Sonam chose to quit The Italian Job.
The latest development is that even Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have refused to come on board. "The reason is that the role is not exciting enough for the female actors," says a source close to the film.
We hear, that even Kareena Kapoor had refused a role in the film. While one may assume that she too wasn't excited about the role, there could be another angle to her refusal. She may hav been reluctant to work with Abhishek. But a source close to Kareena says, "In fact, Bebo was the first choice."
The film sure seems jinxed with casting its ladies but apparently Abbas-Mustan are now in advance talks with Anushka Sharma. What say, Anushka?
