How to Import Feedburner Subscribers to Facebook Fan Page

Already have a list of customers, members or email subscribers? Use the contact importer tool to upload your list, find them on Facebook and let them know about your Facebook Page.

Well, This is something we all would love to do.
Email Subscribers are great, but in today's world we want to reach our subscribers as soon as we post something and Facebook Fan Pages give us that freedom. The probability of our Fan to visit our site is more than an email subscriber who might miss most of our emails or quite busy to read them.

So how should we use our Feedburner Subscribers list to import contacts into our facebook Fan Page.

Well facebook has enabled a new feature where you can upload a contact file to facebook and it works wonders. You get to see your existing subscribers on facebook and can invite them to become your page fan.

Suppose you have 100 Subscribers, and 2/3rd of them are on facebook, which is a real possibility , that makes it 66k potential users of facebook there who just need that invite from you to become fan of your Page.



first of all go to your feedburner account, and browse to publicize, click on email subscriptions tab on left.


Scroll Down to bottom of screen to find the Export Csv link by clicking on View Subscriber Details






If your number of subscribers are more than 5000 then you need to split the list into files having max number of emails to 5000.

to do this i used this tool Csv Splitter which nicley splits my csv and puts them inside a folder.

for 89k odd subscribers i had it split the file into 18 files.


Next part is to go to your facebook page and click on Edit Page.

There you can click on the Import contacts option, 3rd from top.

which will ask you to either upload a csv file or enter your email password to import your contacts from email.

Well at the moment we are only interested about the csv file contacts. So upload your file, and click on find friends.

after the file is uploaded facebook asks you to accept agreement to send this list.


Once that's done, the email is send to 5000 users asking them to join facebook fan page.

That's all you need to do to have that fan base on facebook you ever dream of.

Please not that when i tried this it only allowed me to upload 30K contacts and after that i had to wait few more minutes to upload 2 more files and i was shown the block error again.

So you might not be able to do the imports in one go, they have to be done one by one.
