commercial tax inspector who was on the verge of exposing a multi-crore billing scam allegedly committed suicide after being harassed by his seniors, police said on Thursday.
K B Jadeja, a commercial tax inspector, consumed poison in his office on October 8, following which he was admitted to G G Hospital. But his condition worsened and he was shifted to Rajkot Civil
Hospital where he died on October 18. Jadeja left a suicide note saying he took the extreme step because three seniors—assistant commissioner Anil Choudhary, deputy commissioner Naignkar Garg and inspector Vijay Mehta—were harassing and threatening to implicate him in a false case as he was on the verge of blowing the lid off a multi-crore scam.
