The Queen's baton relay will arrive in Mumbai on September 10. It is
a relay held around the world before the Commonwealth Games. A meeting
to discuss the arrangements for the relay was called by city collector
Chandrashekhar Oak on Tuesday.
The relay will come via Panvel to Navi Mumbai and from there to
Chembur, Dadar Circle, Shivaji Park, Century Bazaar, Worli Naka and
via Mahalaxmi, from where it will be taken to the Mumbai University
campus at Fort.
On September 11, the rally will be received by the Navy at Lion's
gate and taken to Dockyard by a boat. It will then go towards the
Gateway of India. After a cultural function, it will proceed via the
Bandra-Worli Sea Link to the national park at Borivli. On September
12, it will leave for Silvassa.
